Twiggy Celebrates 70th Birthday and 50 Years in Calypso at NAPA

Trinidad and Tobago will celebrate a living calypso legend when Twiggy takes centre stage for a milestone event marking her 70th birthday and 50 years in calypso. The concert takes place on Sunday July 5th, 2026, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain.

Described as “a woman of substance and certainly still relevant,” Twiggy’s celebration will bring together a powerful cast of artistes and the event will also feature the first ever live performance of “Calypso For Africa – Now Is The Time!” For fans of calypso and Caribbean culture, the evening promises to be more than a birthday celebration. It will be a tribute to legacy, longevity and the enduring power of the art form.
