The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO), through its Adjudication Management Committee, has opened a call for suitably qualified persons interested in serving as adjudicators for the organisation’s National Calypso Competitions for Carnival 2027.

The initiative forms part of TUCO’s continued effort to maintain high standards, transparency and cultural integrity in the judging of its national competitions.

Applicants should possess suitable academic qualifications in areas such as Music, Ethnomusicology or a related field, together with demonstrated experience in music production or arrangement, lyrical content, presentation and the assessment of calypso and calypso-related performances.

Candidates must also demonstrate independence, integrity, objectivity and confidentiality, and must be free from personal, familial or professional ties to active competitors.

Interested persons are required to submit a letter expressing interest, contact information, a current curriculum vitae, copies of relevant qualifications, details for two referees and a declaration of any actual or potential conflict of interest.

Applications must be submitted by September 15, 2026 to amctuco@gmail.com, using the subject line: Expression of Interest - National Calypso and Calypso-related Competition Adjudicator.

Applications will be reviewed by the TUCO Adjudication Management Committee, with only shortlisted applicants being contacted.
