Kaiso Legends to Be Honoured at East Zone Tribute Concert

TUCO East Zone is preparing to celebrate five respected figures in Trinidad and Tobago's calypso tradition with “A Tribute to Kaiso Legends: Honouring Their Legacy, Celebrating Their Voices.”

Presented in collaboration with the BATCE Form 4 Year Group, the October 24 event will honour Asha Kamachee, Pink Panther, Karega Mandela, Brother Valentino and Poser.

The programme will also feature performances from Cardinal, Johnny King, Bally, Tiny, Ninja and other artistes, creating an evening that brings together generations of calypso talent.

The concert begins at 7 PM at the Cheryl Greaves Auditorium, Bishop Anstey High School East, Trincity, with admission priced at $200.

More than a concert, the event places the spotlight on the artistes, music and stories that have contributed to the continuing legacy of kaiso in Trinidad and Tobago.
